A Different Approach to Digital Connection

In his vital book, “The Anxious Generation,” social psychologist Jonathan Haidt links the sharp rise in teen anxiety and depression directly to the shift from a play-based childhood to a phone-based one. This issue, however, isn't limited to the young. Increasingly, research highlights concerns about device addiction among retirees and older adults, who can also experience heightened isolation and anxiety from overuse of digital media.

Inspired by this research, we take a firm stand: we do not coach the use of conventional social media. Instead, we champion technology that fosters genuine, direct human connection, helping you use digital tools to arrange and enhance real-world community and relationships, regardless of age.

“The new phone-based childhood is making young people weaker, more anxious, more depressed, and more fragile.” - Jonathan Haidt
